J. Crew Fall Winter 2011 . . .

J. Crew's 2011 Fall Winter Lookbook has me wrapped me around it's little finger. Yes I know, we're a mere 9 days into Summer and I'm already thinking about Fall.  What can I say, the Fashion Industry is always one step ahead. What do I love most about this collection? The BRIGHT COLORS, for Fall?  YES PLEASE! Per usual the Men's looks are quite easy on the eyes, they're the epitome of NY sophistication . . . crisp clean lines + perfect tailored fit = dapper  gentlemen as only J.Crew knows how.

She's absolutely stunning, oh and only 15 years old...wise beyond her years!

Glam Eyes . . .

On Saturday night I celebrated a girls night out with my closest girlfriends . . . I opted for a soft smoky eye and sun kissed dewy skin.  My go to cosmetic line for eye products is MAC, I love the fact that it lasts all night long without smuding. I thought it would be fun to add some subtle lashes finished  off with zoom mascara.  Since it's been unseasonably cool and overcast this entire month in Southern California I was able to get away with wearing a bold look without feeling as though my make-up would melt or get ruined by the blistering heat.
All products I used are by MAC
Eyeshadow: shroom, dazzlelight, print, and corduroy
Eyeliner: blacktrack fluidline, boot black liquid liner Mascara: zoom black
Skin: mineralize satin finish foundation, mineralize bronzer medium deep, margin blush
Lips: lustering lipstick

Have you heard ? Latest Trends . . .

For the most part, when I get a manicure that fresh, shiny, flawless look lasts a total of a mere 1 to 2 days. Even though I'm extremely careful I always manage to see the first sign of chipped nail polish well before the third day. So when I heard about the latest trend in nail polish I was elated. Here's the scoop...a soak off gel nail polish by OPI called Axxium that comes in 40 shades which looks like polish but lasts much much longer. Your manicurist paints on a base coat, two color coats and top coat, as she would with regular nail lacquer. After each coat, the soak-off gel is cured briefly under ultraviolet light, so you leave with impeccably dry nails that last at least 3 weeks, (this is my personal testimony).  The cost for a gel manicure at my salon is $25 and it is definitely worth it, I will never go back to regular manicures. I've been getting gel manicures for the past 2 months and have saved money by only going about once every 3 weeks.  Another plus . . .my nails have grown stronger from the protection of the gel lacquer. I highly suggest you try this trend,  go ahead and indulge in a gel manicure, I promise you won't regret it.
