The Girl with the Red Hair . . .

Trends may come and go but one thing that's stayed constant in my look is the
color of my hair.  I changed my hair color for the first time when I was 18 from my
natural dark brown tint to a dark auburn brown.  I always..felt...desired..lusted to
be a red head.  I love the slightly exotic appeal of the look. I love how the color washes
out making it a slightly different shade each week.  I will be forever envious of natural
red heads . . .the combination of their fair skin, freckles, and ginger locks is, in my opinion,
STUNNING. I always look forward to getting my color touched up...I have an appointment
this week and  will be doing a follow up post.  I've gotten a lot of questions about my hair
color/routine and am so excited to finally share my hair secrets with you. Until then, I would
like to share some of my favorite hair inspiration  images with you . . . Aren't these girls
simply drop dead gorgeous? I think so . . . .

Style Spotlight . . . Ryan Gosling!

So I could post a little spcheel about how Ryan is incredibly handsome
and has impeccable taste, but I mean honestly, he can wear a  potato
sack and make it look good.  I couldn't think of a more worthy guy for
my first ever "Male" Style Spotlight.   All I have left to say is. . . Enjoy!

Hot Weather Hair . . . THE PONYTAIL

Sunny days have arrived which means the blistering heat will soon follow. I love warm weather! What I don't love however is the reaction my hair has to it, which is why you'll most likely see me wearing my hair up in a ponytail on HOT summer days (especially now that it's finally grown out halfway down my back). I find that people have the pre-conceived idea that ponytails aren't sophisticated and are only cute on young girls. . . I completely disagree, I think it's a great way to showcase a great pair of earrings or a chunky statement necklace. Take a look at some looks that I've recently been inspired by and two of my favorite go-to ponytail looks for Spring and Summer.

In honor of...

Mother's Day is only a couple days away and I'm in complete panic mode trying to
figure out how to honor my mother, a woman who has everything yet deserves so
much more.  My mother is truly an amazing woman, one from whom I inherited an
obsession for pretty shoes and girlish details.  In honor of Mother's Day I'd like to give
credit to the mother's of these uber chic little darlings, who without a doubt must have
the most stylish mommies ever . . .

Met Costume Gala...

The theme of this year's Met Costume Gala was "Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty," which included an exhibit featuring some of the most spectacular and intricately detailed couture creations ranging from romantic to gothic by the late designer.  My top 3 picks of the night were very distinct from one another yet equally stunning. Zoe's simple, yet elegant canary yellow Calvin Klein gown looked effortless, Gwyneth Paltrow was glowing in a shimmery nude column gown by Stella McCartney, and Diane Kruger  showed off her killer legs in a stunning nude embellished long sleeved gown from Jason Wu's 2011 Fall collection. . . so ladies, who were your favorites?
