And the award goes to...

Once again Mila Kunis was a vision of perfection at the Academy Awards, she wore a gorgeous lavender chiffon gown with tiered lace detailing from Elie Saab Haute Couture paired with Neil Lane jewelry and a Bottega Veneta clutch.  Her hair and make-up...in the words of Rachel Zoe.."I DIE, SHE SHUT IT DOWN, BANANAS!" Usually I have at least 3 favorites but this year i don't  think any one else came even a little close to being as radiant as Miss Kunis, no first or second runner up in my opinion...This was THE look of the night.

I've got the BLUES...

Some people call it Cobalt Blue others refer to it as Electric Blue...
I call it heaven.  Cobalt/Electric Blue is my favorite color to wear, it's
so striking and in my opinion one of the few colors that you can wear through
ALL seasons.  I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED Jessica Alba's look at the BAFTA's on
Sunday night.  She was sheer perfection in a flowingVersace gown.  I love that
she opted for a young and fun braided updo which gave her a youthful and
effortless look. Her make-up was simple yet elegant, her false lashes and red lips
had just the right amount of that "glam" factor to make her stand out on the red carpet.

Happy Valentine's Day...

I hope your day is filled with sweet moments...

BHLDN Preview...HEAVENLY

This is the kind of news that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside...ANTHROPOLOGIE has had something up their sleeve for a while now, and they sure know how to keep a girl in suspense. On February 14th they are FINALLY launching the BHLDN website (pronounced beholden), which is their new line of Wedding dresses, bridesmaid/party dresses, shoes, jewelry and accessories (price points of wedding dresses $1,000-$4,000).  I was able to catch a sneak peek of some of the pieces and am already IN LOVE with everything.

I love, love, love this cute little frock, I would
definitely chose this for my bridesmaids, what
a genius idea to put pockets in it.

Valentine's Day Inspiration...

Valentine's Day is a mere 4 days away and ever since I was a little girl I've loved
the idea behind it...the exchange of sweet treats and Valentine's Day cards, it's
oh so very romantic.  As an adult I still love Valentine's Day because it's yet
again another excuse to get all dolled up and celebrate with my guy.  I'm
always inspired by two different kinds of looks on this special day...

Romantic Reds and Pretty Pale Pinks

I thought that creating two inspiration boards would help me decide what to wear
this Valentine's Day but that only made my choice more difficult, both options are dreamy...

MAJOR INSPIRATION:OLIVIA PALERMO...

Untitled
I can't help but feel inspired every time I see an image of Olivia Palermo.
She always manages to look so effortlessly chic and pulled together.  I
used to say "flats are for quitters" but Olivia has made me think otherwise,
she demonstrates that flats can look glamorous, which is not an easy task.
She's one of the few girls that has her look down to a T at all times, hair,
make-up, accessories...flawless.

Check out the video of Olivia talking about her favorites places in NY. It's
nice to catch a glimpse of her true personality...a lot more down to earth
and endearing than what she was portrayed on in "The City".

Blue Valentine...

An extremely painful story with pitch perfect performances...Ryan Gosling=A+   Michelle Williams=A+

Run, Rosie, Run!!!

If there's anything that I love more than or just as much as the art of fashion, it is hands down, RUNNING.  Because most people dislike/hate running I always feel the need to try to persuade them to give it a try, so here's my stab at it with YOU.  I fell in love with running right after high school and haven't looked back since then.  I started off at a steady pace and pretty soon was running 5 miles every day.  Every year I improved my time and distance and so I started setting goals for myself.  For the last couple of years I've been running about 7 miles every day, it's a form of therapy that I can't explain.  For me, running is my "ME TIME".  I can be in the worst of moods and nothing can cure that better than a nice long run.
Last summer I bumped it up to 8 miles on weekdays, and 10 miles on weekends (YES! I RUN EVERY SINGLE DAY OF THE WEEK-7 DAYS).  During the week of Thanksgiving I had the entire week off from work so I took that time to set my most ambitious goal to date...12 miles at an 8 minute per mile pace. I did it!!! Up to that point I had put off running a marathon because running is something that I love and do for fun not for competitive reasons.  I always told my fiancee (also a runner in his own right) that I would do a marathon when the right cause came along, something that I was passionate about.
When I heard about the Safari Park Half Marathon (pictured below) I knew that I HAD to do it.  I'm extremely passionate about Animal Rights and helping in any way possible.  I'm so excited and happy to say that all race proceeds will go towards building an exciting new habitat for tigers at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park which is why I decided on this particular Marathon.  I will be keeping you up to date on my running stats and am excited to share with you that as of right now I'm up to 12 miles at a time of 1:50 which is right on track with my goal to running the entire course (approximately 13 miles) under 2 hours. I have a little bit over a month until "THE BIG DAY" and I grow more anxious each day. CAN'T WAIT!!!
