Home is where the heart is . . .

I am so excited to share with you all a peek into how my fashion style reflects in a living room. I love, love, love interior decor so when Modani challenged me to reflect my style using one living room piece from their Modern Sofas collection I was over the moon ecstatic.

Modani has some exquisite pieces ( you can check out their entire collection here ) but when I laid eyes on their White Phantom Sofa I knew that it was going to be the centerpiece of my inspiration. I love the minimalist look of it. The fact that it's a sectional is an added bonus since it allows you the opportunity to rearrange the pieces. Since the White Phantom Sofa has a very clean and minimalist look I would add lots of pretty delicate throw pillows, I adore the one pictured below which is Anthropologie's embroidered Bindi pillow.  I love that it adds a feminine and delicate touch.
As you can see many of the pieces I styled with the White Phantom Sofa are feminine and soft. In order to add a bit of contrast I would add this gray accent chair, the color adds a bit of masculinity to the room but the fact that it's velvet and button tufted is still aligned with the the femininity of the other pieces. Being a Southern California native I had to show a bit of local pride, this Los Angeles wood block wall art is the perfect modern touch to an otherwise minimalist and feminine room. I also thought that this invisible floating book shelf from Urban Outfitters would add a "cool and modern"
vibe to the room. I'd love to hear a bit of how your personal fashion style is reflected in your home decor style. Feel free to leave any comments or suggestions in the comments below.

Introducing The Corner Collection by Warby Parker . . .

Sleek, sharp, smart and classic were the first words that come out of my mouth when I was raving about the new Warby Parker Corner Collection to a co-worker.  The Corner Collection consists of five new frames, Hutton, Topper, Goodney, Teddy and Quentin. Two new hues were also introduced, Rhubarb and Quartz, which will pair beautifully with the seasonal Autumn color palette of rich jewel tones. The Corner Collection consists of both glasses and sunglasses which I am extremely excited about because as a Southern California native, sunglasses are still in heavy rotation in my wardrobe all throughout our sunny and mild fall/winter months.
Pictured below is the Goodney frame which is by far my favorite. The cat eye silhouette drew me in immediately. I think this frame will pair perfectly with a classic trench coat, skinny jeans and bordeaux dorsay pumps. I love that the cat eye silhouette gives a bit of a nod back to the 60's . . .gosh how I love that era! Sigh.
Teddy came in close 2nd, I absolutely love the details in this pair. The sleek lines and the brow bar completely sets Teddy apart from any other frames I've ever seen! I think this pair will add the perfect individual and unique touch to a classic and feminine look.

Lace Love . . .

I'm currently obsessed with lace pencil skirts. They make for such a polished look.
