Best Moments of 2010...

As 2010 comes to a close I wanted to take a moment to share some of my most memorable moments this year.  Blogging has been such a therapeutic experience...I've used this forum to share and express my love for the art of fashion.  I look forward not only to writing and posting more often but reading all of your entries as well.

I have to say that being a chaperone for "The Prom" (for the High School my fiancee works at) was a lot more enjoyable than I thought it would be.

Wishing you all health and happiness for the New Year...♥ Rosie!

Domestic Duties...

The Holidays have come and are now gone (so quickly) as always, this year I was extremely inspired by all the baking and cooking that surrounded me wherever I looked.  I've always loved baking but with my hectic schedule the only time I truly get to indulge in it is during the Holidays, with this said, I've always wanted one of those ridiculously adorable aprons from Anthropologie.  I know, I know, they truly are not practical, I mean they're so adorable I'd be afraid to get stains on it but if a girl is baking yummy goodies for her loved ones she deserves something pretty to do it in, that's my justification and I'm sticking to it.  So next time I step into Anthropologie I will be searching for these items...I looooove the retro feel of this polka dot apron, so peppy and feminine!

NYE Inspiration...

New Year, New Beginnings...just like every other fashionista out there I can't help but want to start the new year off right by looking fabulous on NYE.  My boyfriend and I for the most part always go out to a nice dinner and then come back to his place and enjoy a cozy night in watching a movie and wait for the countdown.  Nevertheless, we always get dressed up for the evening even though we know we'll end up spending the rest of the evening cozied up inside.  Here are some looks that are on my inspiration board for my NYE outfit this year...

And of course the crucial element of any outfit...THE SHOES, I am in love with these Sam Edelman Nivan T-Strap Platforms...

All of these items can be found at shopnastygal.com for under $100!!!

ZARA picks...

I am dying to channel my inner Jackie O.  and I think all these pieces would help me do so just
perfectly.  As the new year approaches I can't help but think that I am one year older, wiser, therefore
I can't contain my excitement and inspiration to embrace the sophistication and grace that should come along with becoming once again a "twenty something" girl woman.

Black Swan...

I patiently awaited for the opening day of Darren Aronofsky's thriller, Black Swan.  It's as if Mr. Aronofsky was reading my mind because he cast two of my favorite actresses in it, Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis.  Words alone cannot express how much grace and poise these girls posses even under the microscopic lens of the paparazzi.  Needless to say, but I will, that both Natalie and Mila are gorgeous but what sets them apart from the pack is their witty and charming personalities.  I am indulging in the latest issue of Nylon wich features Mila on it's December issue. I finally had the chance to watch Black Swan last week and I absolutely loved it.  I'd hate to ruin it for anyone who hasn't seen it so all I'll say is...if you can brave the Holiday crowds and make it to the theater, this movie is well worth it.  Both Natalie and Mila delivered award winning performances.

New Years Eve Ensemble Inspiration...Olivia Wilde

Take a look at Olivia Wilde wearing a  STUNNING gold floor length gown by Emilio Pucci...this dress just screams New Years Eve.  I love the fact that it's a long dress with long sleeves yet you get just enough of that sexy flesh of skin in the front with the peek-a-boo cut out detail. She pulled off the entire look perfectly by keeping her hair simple and sleek.  Her make-up is just enough to make her best feature (her eyes) stand out.  The dress, the hair, the make-up...I've found my inspiration for my New Years Eve ensemble, which by the way, is only 3 weeks away!!!

Anthro Wish List...

YES PLEASE...No one does cozy wool sweaters like Anthropologie, and they always get the perfect colors.  I can't tell you how many times I've loved a garment but didn't purchase it because it wasn't the right color...that's never been the case at Anthropologie.  All I want for Christmas is...

Style Spotlight...Miroslava Duma

So I'm pretty sure that if you mention the name Miroslava Duma to even your most fashion savvy friends, if they're not familiar with the fashion blog community, they will probably have no idea who she is.  Needless to say that in the blog world she's a Top Style Icon, you all know that already! But who is Miroslava really? How did she become so popular? Well...Miroslava Duma was an editor for Harper's Bazaar Russia who is now a freelance writer for numerous publications and has already made a name for herself in the world of fashion at the tender age of 25.  Miroslava has been on the top of my "It Girl" List for a while now, and below are the many reasons why........
